September 7th

Okay, so August isn't a usual month for making resolutions! But I looked at my box of bits of fabric left over from many years of making clothes, and decided it was time to Use Them Up! Like, I was getting to the stage where I was going to need another box marked "Cotton Scraps".
And then I decided that I'd have a better chance of doing just that if I kept a diary of the process - and, who knows, it might inspire someone else to do the same...So I started with a bit of left-over sheet, that I'd used to re-cover the ironing board about a dozen years earlier - and re-covered the sleeve board that had once belonged to my grandmother.
Come to think of it, the 6 feet by 7 inches left-over strip of rather nice cotton twill sheet was from a sheet that also belonged to her. She'd have been proud of me!
