15th September

Doing so much sewing recently makes me realise how much I enjoy it. I love the feel of achievement that comes from taking a pice of flat fabric and turning it into something with shape and form, something three-dimensional.
And I love the creativity of it as well - it's been more fun than I thought it would be, taking the left-overs and seeing what talks to what, which fabrics I can put together when there just isn't enough of one remnant to make something.
This time it's the same pattern as last time, and the same 6 month size. The batik was pyjamas for one of my nieces, the chambray was left over from a skirt I made for myself that was a total disaster on :(
And this time I photographed the fabric first, with a metre ruler on it to give myself some idea of how much was left.
This one went to friend for her daughter - though I need to make the skirt longer next time! She's a long, leggy baby. Bodice was fine though.
